Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens

IDEAS helped the Jacksonville Zoo to explore ways to enhance and expand a new Dinosaur themed special event. Past Dino experiences was always popular, but predictable, and the Zoo hoped that new additions and adventures could help boost business performance.

After a daylong StoryJam™ workshop with zoo staff and stakeholders, IDEAS developed a portfolio of new takes on thematic set enhancements, expanded story designs, and gamification concepts based on several core play themes derived from “What would Dinosaurs like to do with Humans?” (besides the obvious nutritional answer.) The team focused on key touchpoints along the visitor pathway from a Dino-multiverse to an actual Dino Take-Over onsite, Dino CSI investigations to fossil hunts based on real paleontology research, the possibilities were aligned with schedule and budgetary guidance.
