Jungle Island

IDEAS and Integrated Insight, our market research partner, completed a comprehensive brand and experience design plan for Jungle Island. 

The goal was to relaunch Jungle Island — a beloved Miami destination. 

Historically a walkable zoo with bird shows, the new Jungle Island combines the best of close-up animal encounters with immersive additions:

  • Water park attractions
  • An upscale beach club
  • All-new entertainment shows
  • A jungle lodge-themed hotel

At IDEAS, we also oversaw the redesign and activation of the new Jungle Island experience.

First, we undertook Phase 1’s thorough work for Jungle Island: 

  • Rebranding
  • Identity
  • Core distinction focus and operational planning
  • Brand activation and market profiling
  • Demand modeling
  • Pricing and ticketing strategy
  • Codification of the new Jungle Island guest experience 

Next, in Phase 2 we tackled the leadership of the design/build program. This meant incorporating a new water park and a mix of attractions.

We did so with an array of elements:

  • Value engineering
  • Staff enculturation training
  • Animal inventory and habitat upgrades
  • Live entertainment additions 
  • Enhanced food and beverage offerings
