The Indian River Lagoon (IRL) National Estuary Program Council in Sebastian, Florida, asked IDEAS to come aboard. 

They wanted us to create a first-of-its-kind social brand, activation strategy and aggressive public awareness campaign to promote the IRL’s health and long-term vitality. 

It was a task we took to heart. The IRL is a cornerstone of Florida’s culture and economic impact, spanning 150 miles of the state’s east coast.

Since launch, the One Lagoon brand and program have been recognized nationally as icons of successful conservation stewardship, activation and engagement. 

Social media-supported podcasts are the core of an activation program to continuously engage the community and teach residents how to live “Lagoon Friendly.” 

The program also includes potent tools:

  • A robust portfolio of informative videos
  • Digital ads
  • A popular “Lagoon Love” episodic video campaign 
  • Media kits 

All elements focus on community engagement and both private and government funding to continue this coastal treasure’s restoration efforts. 

Now entering the eighth year of our engagement, we’re deploying a multiyear “Every Project Is Progress” campaign. With it, we showcase the impact of One Lagoon-powered regional partners.
