IDEAS Launches New Brand, New Website

After a year of research and development, IDEAS launched its new brand today in a move to align the brand with the company’s evolution and better connect with its clients, vendors, and partners. Along with a new Core Story and Brand Charter, IDEAS incorporated its new positioning statement, “Media & Experience Design,” to more quickly communicate what IDEAS does.

“One of our core services is helping organizations brand themselves, and over the last year we have taken ourselves through the exact process we take our clients through to understand what the core story is for IDEAS and what our brand says about us,” IDEAS Founder and Chief Storytelling Officer Bob Allen commented. “Typically it takes us about six months to work with a client and even though it’s often hard to take your own medicine, we stuck to our disciplined practice and the new core story and brand charter, the clear, written “constitution” for the brand, came together. Once that core story was nailed down, the new identity became crystal clear. Media and experience design categorically fits everything we do for a client in government, healthcare, enterprise, or entertainment.”

The method of rebranding for IDEAS included its own StoryJamTM process, along with internal and external market testing of a variety of elements including naming, tag lines, logos, etc. After the creation of a new core story for IDEAS, and a new brand charter, iconography and logo treatments were created before a final decision was made.

“This is more than a new logo, a new brand roll-out video, and a redesigned website, this is communicating to our clients and potential clients who we are, what we do, and who we do it for, and that’s something we’ve needed to do better,” IDEAS Chief Operating Officer John Lux said. “We turn 13 years old as a company this summer, as we approach the next phase of our organization it was time to step back and accept the branding process that has been so successful for us with clients. It was fascinating and necessary to clearly understand what we are, the vertical markets we work in and the client-focused story around the services of concept development, experience design, branding, training, media production, and mobile development that we do for our clients.”
