The Next Version of the Pocono Mountains

In 2006, the IDEAS team was tasked with helping one of America’s great vacation destinations reinvent itself. The Pocono Mountains is a region of over 2,400 square miles in Pennsylvania and home to extraordinary mountains and rivers. It offers four full seasons of calm re-connection in the woods and adventure with biking, hiking and kayaking in the summer and plenty of skiing in the winter. It’s also about to be the world capital of water parks! Serving the biggest population center in the U.S. from New York to Boston is a tall order and you have to stay fresh. We’re back in the Pocono Mountains this week week doing a StoryJam refresh session with the Pocono Mountains vacation Bureau and many of the regional hospitality industry leaders. Our session will help create a new story for the NEXT version of the Pocono Mountains. We’re excited about the work and really happy they arranged a beautiful late season snow storm for us!
