IDEAS client and close associate Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen, Founder and President of Give an Hour™, has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. The list recognizes the people who inspire, entertain, challenge and change our world.

The Give an Hour™ team was looking to create media to spread awareness of what military families go through and what the public can do to help. After much research, they found veterans willing to tell their stories on camera through personal interviews. IDEAS put together a six-minute piece that is shown to a variety of audiences to build awareness and help the public know where to go to learn more and assist where possible.
IDEAS initially joined forces with Give an Hour to create marketing tools for their National Awakening Campaign in 2009. Since then IDEAS has worked with Barbara and Give an Hour on a number of endeavors including the current work for Give an Hour’s upcoming A Celebration of Service Inaugural Gala, Honoring America’s Military Men, Women, and Families and the Volunteers Who Support Them. The Gala is being held in Washington,D.C. on May 23, 2012.
