IDEAS Produces Media Elements for Metro Orlando EDC
By John Lux
IDEAS is working with the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) to produce multiple media elements as part of the Metro Orlando EDC’s marketing efforts. Elements included in the one year contract with IDEAS include producing several promos for both the Metro Orlando EDC and the Metro Orlando Film Commission, as well as shooting a variety of new video and still photo elements.
“As one of the few EDC Investors in the Film Orlando Filmbook, we feel very strongly about helping the organization represent itself in the best possible fashion. We are providing a number of in-kind services to help the Metro Orlando EDC’s overall foray into the many industries they want to reach,” commented John Lux, President of IDEAS. “The Metro Orlando EDC is a business development entity and to achieve goals they need to have the right tools. Our goal is to be a key element in helping them do great things for the community. When people see the media elements we have produced, and if it’s even a small part of creating or maintaining jobs for the Central Florida community, we’ve fulfilled our role as a Metro Orlando EDC investor.”
Initial projects have already included the collection and organization of hundreds of source materials, both still photos and video, from close to fifty organizations, shooting video testimonials from a number of people that work and/or own companies in Central Florida and creating a thirty second promo for the Film Commission that highlights the locations, infrastructure and experience that falls within the umbrella of the Metro Orlando Film Commission. The promo initially aired before each film at the 2013 Florida Film Festival. Additional projects on the horizon include acquiring new video and still photo elements throughout Central Florida and the creation of additional reels for the Film Commission and the Metro Orlando EDC.
“IDEAS has been a great asset to us this year. They have exceeded our expectations and have become a true, collaborative partner in their area of expertise,” stated Jennifer Wakefield, VP of Marketing & Communications, Metro Orlando EDC.
