IDEAS Completes ADR for Television Series and Feature Films
By John Lux
In the month of December IDEAS completed five ADR sessions for a variety of broadcast television series and feature films. The list includes two sessions for a long-running series on Disney Channel, Once Upon a Time (currently airing on ABC), and feature films Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 (20th Century Fox) and American Reunion, the next installment of the American Pie movies (Universal).
“The TV and film ADR business is very important to us, and has been for many years,” explained John Lux, COO of IDEAS. “Since we opened our new post audio mix suite and completed the renovations to our recording stage we have worked on a number of broadcast and feature projects. To have 5 sessions on our ADR Stage just in the month of December alone shows we are a trusted studio in the industry and that means a lot to our team.”
ADR work at the downtown Orlando-based IDEAS is done out of Audio A, which is an acoustically designed custom built critical listening room with 32 fader DigiDesign ICON integrated console and custom designed speakers and subwoofers. The recording stage at IDEAS is equipped for voice over and voice over to picture as well as ADR and ISDN (sending and receiving, EDNet Affiliate). The ADR stage includes multiple custom-built stationary and mobile acoustic panels, portable Foley work surfaces, and a 32″ Sony LED monitor.
