Florida Attractions Association Speech

By Bob Allen

Yesterday I was fortunate to give the keynote speech for the annual meeting of the Florida Attractions Association. It was a tremendous audience and one that felt like home for me since I pretty much grew up in the attractions business. My talk was called “Zennovation: The Power of The Net Present Moment.” The speech focused on challenging your imagination to new levels of creativity. For about 45 minutes, I was able to tell stories that illustrate 11 principals of sustaining innovation from the doctrine of “Wild Acceptance” to the principle of “Innovative Courage”.  After the speech I received very positive feedback on the talk. More importantly, the other speakers were all making points that pitched our Experience Design method and solutions as what is NEXT in the industry. It’s nice to have a speech well received. But it’s even better to have the other presenters verify the principals of how we do a large part of our business.
