Are you looking for a good tv show to watch? Have you ever wanted your brain so twisted up that you question life, reality, and existence as you know it? Then I have the answer for you. Interesting and surreal, with excellent acting, The OA will break your brain…but you’ll be cool with it because this show is very, very good.

I, like everyone else who has Netflix, get the emails that say “[your name], we’ve just added [show or movie] that we think you’ll like!” or “[your name], we’ve just added season [number] of [show]!”. It’s creepy, but I mean…they know me well. They recently informed me that season two of The OA, created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, came out. I watched season one ages ago, and I really liked the show, it’s such a fascinating story, but I forgot they were making another season.

If I had to give a synopsis of season one, I guess I’d say “blind woman comes back after having disappeared for years, tells her story to some boys and their teacher, and dies (or does she?)”. Season two…I shouldn’t even try. “The window to the multiverse is in a puzzle house also there’s an interdimensional octopus and secrets in dreams.” Yeah…it will break your brain. The OA, it’s…well…it’s really weird. But it’s also sort of beautiful? I enjoyed season one but season two is definitely my favorite so far. I’ve been re-watching it, and it’s extremely re-watchable because of it’s complexity. It’s kind of a puzzle in itself.

Side note: I say this about almost everything I watch or read, but honestly The OA would make a fantastic series of comics. Go watch and then agree with me.
