Precor is the world’s premiere maker of fitness equipment for both home and commercial fitness environments. Precor equipment can be found in leading health clubs, hotels, spas, corporate and university fitness centers, and in homes all over the world. Precor’s commitment to “fitness is foremost” and natural body movement in their design of effective training has made them an industry leader in ergonomic motion, body science, and fitness engineering. Recent advances in Precor fitness equipment have included the integration of custom fitness programming and interactive media into the Precor user experience.
IDEAS was contracted by Precor to assist in the development of a new user experience that goes beyond the workout and becomes an integral part of the user’s lifestyle. Expanding on Precor’s networked fitness solution, Preva, IDEAS has worked closely with Precor’s design and programming teams to help define a private content network for Precor users incorporating personal, broadcast, and subscription media channels with custom content that will be the next generation fitness experience and new industry standard.
Starting with a StoryJam™ to envision the user experience and chronicle the myriad of ways that Preva could engage, entertain, assist, and guide users along their fitness journey, IDEAS also developed a complete brand architecture for the new iteration of Precor’s Preva brand. IDEAS also developed a complete Experience Design document detailing the portfolio of specific potential content formats and programming offerings for users, value proposition, and new business model to enlist customers. We’ve also been part of a team of experts providing business intelligence and strategic planning services to assist development of a new business model and revenue stream based on Preva’s expanded offerings and growing user base and customers.
IDEAS is currently in pilot production on several new content offerings that will be exclusively offered on Precor fitness equipment as part of its Preva fitness network.
