VP Finance and Controller
While attending Stanford University, Pam began her career with Walt Disney World Planning & Industrial Engineering in 1982 as a co-op student. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Pam joined Disney full time as an Associate IE and ultimately succeeded to Senior Manager in 1992. Utilizing her forward-thinking, strong leadership, and interpersonal skills, Pam helped grow the IE Department’s reputation throughout the Walt Disney Company. Her most significant contributions were leading the Labor Scheduling Optimization project for the parks business, and spearheading the development of New Park Project Development Methodologies that are still used today when evaluating and building new theme parks and “non-traditional” entertainment venues. In 1996, Pam shifted to part-time employment to begin a family and continued to be instrumental as a consulting resource to help mentor new IEs at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland.
In 2015, Pam took over the role of VP Finance and Controller for IDEAS. During this time, IDEAS undertook a significant reorganization focusing on its brand and experience design services and divesting its video production facilities. Pam, a “self-taught” accountant, is exceptionally proud of her role in leading this reorganization and the systems and cost control processes that she created.
When not found at her computer, Pam spends time hanging out with friends and family and enjoys co-hosting a weekly mindfulness practice group.
