Zero Hour Threat
College Options Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting in the development of high school students, contracted IDEAS to help them with a portion of the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) President’s Academic Championship, a nationally recognized academic competition.
Mobile Apps and Games
IDEAS developed an interactive web-based testing environment where teams compete against each other at the regional level of this contest. At this level of the competition, each team is submersed into a storyline where a hacker is planning to deploy a virus that has the potential of causing global economic chaos. It’s up to them to find the enemy before it’s too late. Each team discovers clues of the enemy’s whereabouts by correctly answering JROTC curriculum content questions. Behind the scenes, IDEAS designed a database to track all multiple-choice questions (by level of difficulty, timing, and correct vs. incorrect) and to log players results in order maintain the integrity of the contest. Upon completion of the web-based version, IDEAS also executed a CD-ROM version of the contest.
