Tips & Tricks from IDEAS, in this tip, John Lux on using the right management style:
Starting in the tape vault at IDEAS, John quickly moved his way through the facility, increasing the organization and efficiency of each area he’s managed, ultimately leading to him running the whole shebang! A worthy recipient of Disney’s rare and highly respected Partners In Excellence award, John’s outstanding client service and leadership of his fellow Cast Members are the key ingredients to the operational success of IDEAS. In 2000 John made the interesting transition from assistant editor on Sheena to Operations Manager of IDEAS. John has also been responsible for bringing such projects as Elvis, Stranded, Vanished, Break-In, Christmas in Paradise and the Roxy Hunter movies to IDEAS. His strong Chicago roots are reflected in his undying passion for college football, especially his alma mater, the Purdue Boilermakers and his home town teams, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, White Sox, Cubs and Northwestern University. Speaking Topic: High Definition Television
IDEAS was the first fully functional High Definition post production facility in Central Florida in 2002 and John was largely responsible for creating this environment. Since that time, IDEAS has been involved in post production for cable, broadcast, independent feature films and hundreds of hours of corporate projects in HD including thirteen movies since 2005. John has given his “HD 101” course to groups at Walt Disney World and the Florida Association of Broadcasters Annual Meeting to name a few and spoken on various topics at Full Sail University, one of the premier media arts colleges in the world, and at the Orlando Sentinel.
