Adventure to Fitness, the groundbreaking award-winning 30-minute series for kids that brings health and physical activity together with geography, science, social studies, and language arts, has reached a weekly viewership of one million students. The series, available to schools nationwide giving students the opportunity to build active and healthy habits for life, is in more than 2,000 schools in more than 30 states. The series, now in its second season, is written, shot, and produced, along with all aspects of post production by Orlando-based IDEAS.
“Adventure to Fitness has come a long way since it was brought to us by the creators more than 2 years ago,” commented John Lux, President of IDEAS. “Our client cares deeply about children’s health and to see the growth of the series from 20 schools in one state when we aired the first episode to more than a million students, along with their parents and teachers, is a tribute to everyone that has played a part in Adventure to Fitness. Additionally, being able to offer sponsorship opportunities to many of our clients is a value-add that we are happy to provide. When you look at what Adventure to Fitness stands for, and the quality product we are producing, it’s understandable that so many are interested in participating in the sponsorship packages.”
Every episode challenges kids to a 30-minute workout while also learning about geography, science, social studies, language arts, and health. The exciting live action and animated video, combined with guides for teachers and parents, makes the program ideal for teaching health and wellness to children. The program is designed to meet state and national standards, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and school officials. From a teacher’s perspective, one of the program’s main advantages is its ease of use, making it effortless to introduce into any classroom.
“The teachers love it,” Valerie Lovegreen, Principal, Providence Academy said. “They enjoyed the ability to tie it in to their classroom work and they really felt like their students got fitness from it, which is very exciting.”
Adventure to Fitness is making a real impact in the lives of children, parents, and teachers nationwide. The secret to why Adventure to Fitness has captured the imagination of children all over the country is simple: it places kids in a fun, immersive, and highly-educational environment that engages them on both a physical and mental level. In addition to creative services, strategic planning, and turnkey production services, IDEAS’ instructional designers are also involved in scripting and visual elements to ensure alignment with state and national educational standards.
“The growth of Adventure to Fitness has been phenomenal, making it one of the fastest-adopted programs of any sort throughout the U.S. school system. I think this is a testament to both the national need and the quality of the product,” said Michael Rhattigan, CEO, Adventure to Fitness. “To reach more than one million students in such a short time is a great accomplishment and it’s just the beginning.”
